“The community of CLS has made me a better person in ways I can’t put into words. Camp is home, and it always will be.”

Summer Staff Member

Each summer, college and high school students both within and outside our Mississippi borders come together to create a loving community in the form of our Summer Staff.  While each summer staff member is unique and possesses individual gifts and abilities, they are all united under a common mission and goal:

To make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Staff Training: May 12 -22, 2020

Staff Training is mandatory for ALL counselor positions, including Main Camp, Adventure Camp, Day Camp, and Traveling Day Camp.  Note: Adventure Camp Counselors must go through additional training on May 11th.  Junior Counselors must be present for at least 1/2 of Staff Training (6 days minimum) but are strongly encouraged to attend more.  Staff Training is an excellent opportunity for the staff to learn about the ins and outs of our Summer Camp program, receive certifications (First Aid, CPR, High Ropes, Lifeguarding, etc.), and build community as a Body of Christ.
