Speaker: Trey Skaggs

Indianola, MS

Trey Skaggs is the pastor of Indianola First United Methodist Church. Throughout the Confirmation Retreat weekend, Trey will unpack what it means to be TRANSFORMED as God’s grace works for us, in us, and through us. Before answering the call to ministry, Trey worked as Assistant Dean of Students at the University of Southern Mississippi, where he also graduated with a B.A. in political science and a M.Ed in Ed. Administration. While serving as a youth pastor, Trey also completed an M.Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary. Trey and his wife, Heather, have been married for 13 years and are proud parents of three children: Jones (9), Anna Joy (6), and Will (6).
Trey enjoys bold coffee, a well-worn pair of khakis and a fleece, vinyl records, and all things fall/winter. When not at the church, Trey can usually be found in his backyard, or in an eno daydreaming about skiing the lazy, blue groomers of Summit County, Colorado.

Worship: Ty Garvey

Clinton, MS

Ty has been leading worship for 17 years.  Music is a passion of his and he loves nothing more than getting to lead God’s people in worship through song.  He lives in Clinton, MS… in the trees. We are so excited to have Ty leading worship at Confirmation Retreat 2020!
