Chap Fenwick

Program Director

Having served at CLS in a variety of roles since his college years at Mississippi State, Chap fulfilled his dream of becoming the Program Director in January of 2014.  Chap and his wife Kelly met at camp while serving as camp counselors, and they are now the unashamedly proud parents of their son, Jack, and rescue dog, Eloise.  On any given day, you might find Chap desperately pretending to be a lumberjack, carrying on conversations using only movie quotes, singing a few of his favorite tunes from Les Miserables, and attempting to stay in what he calls, “decent shape”, occasionally all at the same time.
Sally McLellan

Office Manager

Sally joined the staff at Camp Lake Stephens in 2013.  A graduate of Millsaps College, she also studied at Mississippi University for Women and the University of Mississippi, and after her children grew up, she joined AmeriCorps and served as a community service coordinator at Salish-Kootenai College in northwest Montana.  Sally also is the camp registrar and enjoys getting to know campers and parents through that process.

David Carroll

Director of Development

After 32 years of pastoral ministry in the UMC, David retired in 2015 to take care of family, to pursue his ministry passions for camping and youth ministries, and to play a little golf. Besides his work at Camp Lake Stephens, David also serves as a Lead Consultant for Ministry Architects of Nashville, TN. He and his wife Laura have three grown children – Ben, Kathryn, and Mary Evelyn – and they all love the outdoors, whether it be through cookouts, camping, paddling, sailing, or sports.
Linda Fleming

Food Service Director

Linda Fleming has been serving as our Food Service Director since the spring of 2017, but she has been on the CLS staff ever since she closed her bakery back in 2014.  She is married to John Henry and has two dogs, Lucy and Banks.  Having grown up with two parents that were Methodist ministers, Linda feels right at home at Camp Lake Stephens!
