–Main Camp runs Weeks 1–3 & 6–8
–Outpost (Week 6) adds a one-night tent camping experience
–Two-Week (Weeks 4–5) offers a full week of normal camp + an Olympics week full of unique competitions and events. [Boy spots still available for Two-Week!!]

Ice Storm Update:

As the ice has melted and we’ve gotten some warm days, it’s given us some time to assess what’s going on at CLS.

The Good News:

As of last night, power was fully restored at CLS! We are working on getting the office back up and running.

We’ve had many groups already help us clear limbs and trees. Main camp is almost completely clear, and the road and trails down to the lake have been cleared as well.

While we had to cancel all our February retreat bookings, we plan to resume with our Confirmation Retreat Feb 27-March 1.

We have more work groups scheduled and hope to keep working all the way around the lake and to the creek in order to be clear by summer.

Bad News:

We’ve got trees on two cabins, an HVAC unit that took a tree, and our ropes course and directors houses have extensive damage. We’ve been closely working with insurance and volunteers to get everything back to normal, but it’s still a process.

What you can do…

1. If you’re interested in serving for a day, send us a message or an email a office@camplakestephens.com and we will let you know about future work days!

2. Pray hard. We are feeling good about where we’re at, but we do recognize it’ll be a process to get back what was lost.

3. Give. Insurance will cover many of the building expenses, but the amount of debris and trail work will require extra tree work for us to get the trails and woods ready for summer campers. camplakestephens.com/support

We are looking forward to having groups come in March and April, and this summer celebrate our 80th birthday, and anticipate decades more of ministry. Thank you for your support.

We’ve had lots of melting over the last two days. We still have no power but do have water restored as of this morning. We still have no estimate of when power will return.

With water coming back, we discovered two busted pipes and some flooding in our directors house. Recovery efforts have started there.

We’ve also lost a couple of back porches on cabins, but all other buildings and structures still seem in good shape.

In addition, a handful of friends and neighbors brought chainsaws and hands to begin the laborious process of clearing our Main Camp area. This will be the biggest need going forward, as all roads and trails are impassable right now.

Thanks to everyone for the prayers. Our biggest need is like the majority of our community, we need power. So keep praying for that. We will keep you updating everyone as much as possible.
